Pre-loved clothes- that jacket's not just for Christmas

Call them thrift shops, bargain basements, or charity stores, these hidden gems are the most trendy places to rummage through nowadays.

Forget River Island, Topshop and ASOS, pop down to your loved pre-loved clothes shop. Did you know Katy Perry used to shop in pre-loved clothes shops in San Francisco? And look at her now!

There are some rules though that you must abide by to really get the most out of your pre-loved bargains :) These are practical and fashion based, so have a read, and myabe your next fav ourfit will be pre-loved!

Rules for preloved clothes

1.ALWAYS wash the clothes first. You don't know where they have been or who they have been with. Scary part over....promise :)

2.Look for clothes with tags, these are the best find. (How many times have you bought something only to give it away, with tags intact....)

3. Check the zip/buttons/detailing/stains/washing instructions, its a bargain until you find the zip is busted, it has a huge stain down the front or it can only be washed in holy water under a full moon (slight exaggeration I know :P )

4. Ask "Will I really wear this?" Remember, it's only great if you will wear it. Just beacuse it's cheap does not mean that you want to waste money on it,

5. Look for really unusual pieces, they are the best types of buy, and the ones you will get best wear out of. Don't be afaid to ask if you are looking for something in particular.

There are plenty of online second-hand shops too, Oxfam even has this bridal one

Some prime examples are : check out this page for special baby tips :)
